Are the professors from MBS or are they local professors?

All of the professors are flown over from MBS. MBS offers high-quality education for all off-campus programmes. The professors, course content and course books and materials are exactly the same as what is used on the UK campus.

Do you require GMAT or IELTS?

As Part time MBA programmes we offered are tailored to working professional and executives, we don’t have strict requirement for GMAT and IELTS scores. But we do require students’ proficiency in both spoken and written English to ensure workshop dynamics. We’ll conduct face-to-face or tele-interviews after we get the application and sort out candidates. However, if you take the GMAT or IELTS you can submit it as part of your application and it will be evaluated with your other documents.

Will the diploma be recognized in other countries such as Singapore, USA, and Canada?

Manchester MBA is respected around the world and triple accredited by AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB.

How big are the classes?

The class size is between 15 and 25 people. This size of class provides an optimum learning experience between the students and the professor as well as between all the students.

Where is the classroom?

All classes in Shanghai are held at centrally located venues that are close to subway and major bus routes.

Are the students Chinese nationals or expatriates?

Classes are comprised of a mixture of foreign students and Chinese nationals.

Is the Part-time MBA diploma be recognized as the same as full-time MBA diploma?

Manchester MBA is respected around the world. The part-time MBA degree is the same as our on-campus (Full time) MBA, issued by the University of Manchester.

When will be the application deadline for the enrolment of the July 2009 intake?

Are there alumni events and activities?

When you enrolled you join a worldwide network of over 30,000 alumni from the MBS including over 3,000 in China. In Shanghai, Beijing and other major cities like Hangzhou, Nanjing, and Chongqing there are events such as the information session, forums and seminars as well as alumni group dinners, parties and etc. The MBS alumni are a group of lifelong friends and associates.

What is 'Blackboard'?

Blackboard is an online course management system that acts as an extension to the classroom. It is very easy to use and provides such features as: posted course materials and announcements, discussion boards, virtual chat sessions with whiteboard functionality, email functionality, a digital drop box for students to submit assignments and online assessments.
