Sherry Fu has 15 years experience in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and the UK. She established the MBS China international centre in Shanghai in 2008, developing and implementing the School’s strategies in the region, managing China centre's operation, and participating in development and management of strategic partnerships in the region. MBS China centre’s outstanding brand image for quality has been recognized in the national awards. Prior to joining the University of Manchester, she worked for a leading institution in London. Her early career in media enabled her extensive links with business elites, media and government. Ms Fu is an associate professor and obtained a dual Masters degree from China and the UK.
Dr. Jiyao Xun joined MBS Shanghai Centre as an MBA Associate Director in 2014. He started his career by working for Britain’s leading retailer Tesco in UK and its internationalisation process into mainland China. He earned an MSc in Management Research from Saïd Business School Oxford University and a PhD in Marketing from Nottingham University. His diverse international management education experiences (particularly involving Chinese students) include: Shanghai University MBA Centre and SHU-UTS Australia JV programmes, International Business School at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Nottingham University Business School Executive Education Centre China Programmes, Nottingham Trent University and Kaplan International Colleges in UK. He is a recognised China retail expert by Oxford Institute of Retail Management, and was an associate professor in marketing.
Sophia has more than five years of experience in education industry, and has broad knowledge of business schools. She provides professional guidance to MBA applicants and implements marketing and recruitment activities in China. Sophia holds a Bachelors degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Livian leads the student support team in China, providing day to day support and guidance to Global MBA students in China and overseeing the administration of Global MBA programme. Livian obtained a BA from University of Warwick and an MSc from London School of Economics. She has over six years experience working in the professional service sector. Prior to joining MBS she worked for the British Council exam service.
Flora joined MBS in 2011 and is responsible for recruitment of Global MBA Programme. She maintains and develops media relations as well as implementing marketing and recruitment activities in China. Flora was awarded an MA from Shanghai Normal University in 2007.
Penny joined MBS in 2010 and provides student support services to Global MBA students in China as well as MBS/Tongji Dual MBA program students. Her role also covers part of administration duties for the MBA Programmes and fellow academics and visitors. Penny gained her MSc from the University of Warwick in 2009.
Stella joined MBS China Centre in July 2012 and is now providing day to day student support to Global MBA students in China as a member of the Student Support Team. Stella hold a Bachelor's degree from Shanghai International Studies University and obtained her MSc from Cranfield University in 2011.
Marina joined MBS as Finance and Admin Assistant in August 2014.Working as a member of Finance and Admin team, she provides assist to produce accurate management accounts, maintaining Admin & Personnel policies and procedures and assisting the Centre Director and Financial Controller with accounting elements, and also help students with tuition fee payments. She obtained Master's degree from Birmingham University and was an auditor prior to joining MBSW.
Yang Yang joined MBS as Course Counselor and Marketing Officer in April 2015. Together with the Recruitment team, she provides counseling to potential MBA students and thus, facilitates their decision process. Prior to MBS, she worked in China Britain Business Council Shanghai Office as Project Manager for more than 3 years. She specialised in providing advice to UK companies about the Chinese market and helping them develop their business by delivering bespoke market research, identifying partners and organising forums and seminars. Her research projects focus on education& retail sectors.
